Janet's images are inspired by what she sees and loves about Suffolk. She designs and arranges the images she creates to fit the book covers.
The images are transferred onto the lino block and cut by hand. This takes some time but is a process she enjoys. The lino is then printed onto the calico covers using her Victorian Platen Press. The book blocks are sewn by hand on a Victorian sewing frame, then pressed in a Nipping Press. The spine is glued and reinforced with mull. The book blanks have headbands and bookmarks added.
The books make exccellent sketchbook diaries or journals and are in portrait or landscape orientation for the large books and portrait orientation for the small ones. The cover designs range from local scenes of Orford, Aldbeurgh and other coastal towns through to animals and other miscellaneous designs. There are also some limited edition ranges within the selection.
